Dr. Rafael Otero was born and raised in south Texas; attained the highest GPA in his high school class before obtaining his bachelors of science in Biology at the University of Texas Brownsville. He then graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in 2018, while completing his clinical rotations in Chicago, Houston and Las Vegas. Dr. Otero competed his internal Medicine Residency training at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine in 2021 where he was also awarded the prestigious “ outstanding PGY3 resident Award” in 2021 and “ Best Senior Resident Award for Outstanding Medical Student Teaching” He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Otero is excited to give back to the community raised.
